Lockhart Creek Provincial Park

Found on the shores of Kootenay Lake, adjacent to Lockhart Creek Provincial Park, this small 3 hectare park offers a broad sandy beach and a separate camping area. There are 18 treed campsites that fill up quickly in the summer, picnic tables and pit toilets. Access is provided by Highway 3A, south of the Kootenay Bay ferry terminal. Kokanee can be seen spawning in the nearby creek in fall, while a good trail leads to the alpine and Baker Lake.
