In our 2 acre market garden we grow a wide variety of the very best veggies, fruits, herbs, and nuts, to help keep Kootenay salads bowls full. Our animals are pasture raised with a conscience. We offer a selection of Charcuterie Style pork, lamb, goat, turkey, chicken and duck. We also sell chicken and duck eggs. For fellow homesteaders we sell weaner pigs, breeding quality hogs, feeder and breeding quality goats and sheep, as well as bred duck hatching eggs.
It only took a few years working in Northern Alberta to understand what is so beautiful and important about farming in the Kootenays. Having grown up on an orchard/greenhouse based farm it seemed only natural to build on the skills my grandmother taught me.
In 2008 Root & Vine Acres was created.
